  • What did I learn that increased my understanding of Manaiakalani kaupapa and pedagogy?
I discovered new ways of learning sharing that I would like to introduce to my class.

  • What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow as a professional?
Managing and organizing my emails and making groups within my emails to make things easily accessible. Better communication between myself and my students as well as throughout the school.I have all my emails in one place in my different roles throughout the school . Having things simplified is really beneficial for my teaching and learning and general practise.
With my new learning in these areas it will make me more fluent in delivery and giving students instructions and troubleshooting any issues.

  • What did I learn that could be used with my learners?
Google groups- will make it easier to communicate with my students and share documents quick and efficient.
How to video screen in powerpoint -will enable be to take videos to guide my students in tasks and videoing the mouse movement this would be useful for those students who cannot take directions easily they are able to go back and re-look without me having to repeat myself over and over, promoting student agency.

  • What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow in my personal life?
Again general organisation of my emails will make it easier to find things faster and make my work/life more efficient.

  1. Paige really enjoyed reading your blog. Lots of great systems and I saw you organising your emails with finesse! Well done! I must get on to sorting mine out too! The videoing with your students will be really helpful and they black-back option would be fabulous for those students who were away or needed to revisit it. Keep up the great work and thanks for your help today too!

  2. Kia Ora Paige, I agree it was very helpful learning about recording our screens. This will definitely be helpful when teaching students new learning around ICT and will allow us become more collaborative with eachother.
